We’re extremely proud of our 20-year research partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust and the University College London Institute of Child Health.
How MEND started
The very first MEND programme was devised in partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and the University College London Institute of Child Health in 2001.
Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is one of the leading specialist children’s hospitals in the world. The hospital provides clinical care for thousands of children every year, but also undertakes vital research and educates health professionals.
Working together, GOSH and the University College London Institute of Child Health (ICH) are the UK’s only biomedical Research Centre specialising in paediatrics (children’s medicine).
This close working relationship allows GOSH and ICH to do specific research (clinical observation and scientific investigation) into child health and disease. This research feeds into the development of new therapies and treatments for children.
